Cams Protocol Update Service

Already own a ZKTeco, eSSL, BioMax, or Identix device? A Cams Protocol Update enables the Web API on that hardware so it can push attendance and accept remote user management โ€” once the device is validated as compatible.

Overview

Enable the Cams Web API on a non-Cams biometric device (ZKTeco, eSSL, BioMax, Identix and more) after it passes the developer compatibility check.

The Protocol Update is a per-device service that adds Cams Web API support to validated third-party biometric machines. Each device must first be verified through the developer compatibility bot before a protocol update can be applied. It is the mechanism that brings non-Cams hardware into the same real-time attendance and remote-management surface as native Cams devices.
