DigitalPersona API

Bring DigitalPersona U.are.U readers to the web. Capture, enrol and verify fingerprints through a single API โ€” no per-platform SDK to wrangle.

Overview

DigitalPersona, without the SDK

DigitalPersona U.are.U readers (now HID) are among the most widely deployed desktop fingerprint scanners. The Biometric Gateway lets you capture from them and feed the templates into the same enrolment and verification endpoints you use for every other device.

FAQ

DigitalPersona integration questions

Which DigitalPersona readers are supported?

The popular U.are.U 4500 and 5160, plus the wider U.are.U / HID DigitalPersona family used for desktop capture.

Is this for attendance or verification?

Primarily capture, enrolment and 1:1 verification โ€” ideal for login, POS and KYC. Pair it with attendance terminals for end-to-end flows.

Do I still need the DigitalPersona SDK?

Your app talks to the Biometric Gateway API; you avoid building directly against the native SDK on each platform.
